They Cloned Tyrone is about a man named Fontaine who is also a drug dealer. He provides for his mother and lost his younger brother to police brutality. One day, after hitting a rival corner boy with his car, he gets the drop on Slick Charles who owes him some money. He gets the money only to be shot dead by his rival, Isaac, outside of Slick Charles' motel. However, Fontaine wakes up the next morning only to be told by Slick Charles that he was killed the previous day.
By finding a car he saw pick up a wounded man earlier that day, Fontaine, Slick Charles and Yoyo find out that underground there are laboratories where people experiment on Black people with the intention of controlling their minds. We learn that Fontaine and Slick Charles are clones and Yoyo…isn't? She's just like a regular person somehow. I don't really understand, we'll get to that in a minute. Jumping ahead to the end, it's revealed that the engineer, who is the man that was cloned to create Fontaine, is using mind control and generational breeding to make Black people into white people, hoping that if we can better blend in, racism will cease to exist.
In this video we take a look at They Cloned Tyrone and it's views on life, liberation and the human existence.
